An elegant 1950s console table or small desk, with elements of Italian styling.

Herbert E. Gibbs was a trained cabinet maker and also a carpentry teacher. He founded Herbert E. Gibbs, a furniture manufacturing company in approximately the 1920s. The firm was based at De Beauvoir Road, London and later First Avenue, Montague Road, London. Gibbs furniture was retailed across the UK, by companies including Heals.
